It is official; Hilary Duff is tying the knot. The actor announced on May 09, 2019, that she got engaged to American singer and songwriter Matthew Koma. They both posted a photo on Instagram, where the actress shows off an engagement ring with diamond. It is a practice better known in the celebrity circles as making an engagement “Instagram official”.
Koma and Duff have been friends for a long time and are creative collaborators. They have been a celebrity couple for around two years.
In a recent appearance on “The Talk” show, Duff spoke about their relationship with a great deal of enthusiasm. She said, “It’s going so great.” When the couple started dating in 2017 after a break, E! News reported, “Him being gone on tour was the main reason things didn’t work out the first time around so now that he’s back they’ve picked up right where they left off.”
How Much is Hilary Duff’s Diamond Engagement Ring Worth?
Duff captioned the Instagram photographed, “He asked me to be his wife.”
Her fiancé too posted the same photo to his Instagram account, and he captioned it, ‘I asked my best friend to marry me…@hilaryduff.” The actress commented on the post, “Thanks for the promotion babe.”
The engagement ring features what appears to be an elongated cushion-shaped diamond that weighs 3 to 4 carats. Cushion cut diamond engagement rings are very much a trend today with many celebrities sporting pieces with this style, including the one and only Kim Kardashian West.
It is a square diamond cut, with rounded corners, which is similar in shape to a cushion or pillow, hence the name. The “Hope Diamond” also has a cushion cut. The cushion shape creates a prismatic effect, and it returns light in a clunkier pattern than the round cut and princess cut. Duff has not announced who is the maker of her engagement ring, but many experts have looked at her photos and given estimates on the ring’s worth. One estimated price is $100,000, while others state a figure that is way below the mark. The price of the ring is also going to depend upon the kind of band it features, which is very hard to tell from her photo alone. Yellow gold and rose gold are trending and would make the engagement ring slightly more expensive.
